Green Sale on Facebook

Welcome back!

Hi everyone, and welcome back to a new semester!

We are working this week to green Columbia’s New Student Orientation Program (NSOP), along with representatives from several member groups including the EcoReps, Food Sustainability Project, and Students for Environmental and Economic Justice. Look for us this week in our “Green OL” shirts, designed by Mara Kravitz, a new member of the Green Umbrella ┬áteam.

We are also preparing for the EcoReps green sale tomorrow (!) – be sure to check it out for all of your dorm needs then as well as Tuesday – Thursday next week. More info here.

In the meantime, educate yourself on recycling at Columbia with Earth Co’s Recycling Fever video and BWOG’s Recycling Flowchart.

Finally, we just signed on as a partner with a new organization, whose website is launching soon — the Collegiate Climate Collaboration. This looks to be an exciting forum and resource for any individual or group interested in making a splash in the movement against climate change, so stay tuned for more on the CCC!
